Civil Society- Visit to the Coastguard Station
To Search. To Rescue. To Save.
Society members enjoyed a very popular 'civil outing' to the Coastguard Station on Limekiln Lane, Bridlington.

Bev Allen, Manager of the Humber Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC), introduced us to the team, who explained how their operations work. We learned about the different types of distress signals used at sea and on land, and what happens when members of the public dial 999.
There was so much valuable information shared, it was certainly a visit worth making!
The Society thanks Bev Allen and team for their time and expertise, showing us around this much-needed and valued service.
