Civil Society- Visit to Bridlington North Library

On the 30th January 2026, Society members had a fabulous talk and tour with Sophie at North Bridlington Library, located on Martongate, Bridlington. The Library service is managed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the North Bridlington Library had recently received a refurbishment thanks to a £250,000 government grant.
Sophie told us all about the recent refurbishment works completed during the few weeks of closure, including rewiring, new furniture, quiet spaces, a sensory room, and much more.
The above picture shows a real moss wall, which is watered regularly!
It’s incredible to see the work they do for our community and how well the whole team works together.
Thirteen members attended this tour.
Our next ‘Civil’ visit is to the Maritime & Coastguard Agency, Limekiln Lane, Bridlington.
Friday, 20th February, 12 noon- more details to follow!
