Speaker Meeting Report: ERYC Conservation Team

On the 10th September our Speaker Meetings restarted for the new season. Andrew Uttley & Megan O’Mara, both of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, gave a fantastic and informative presentation telling us all about the work of the Conservation team.

We had a very interesting Q&A session. Attendees asked about Bradford Council redeveloping land for social housing needs on the new estate adjoining Strawberry Fields. Questions were also asked about sewage problems in Bridlington bay and its impact particularly as Bridlington has recently experienced a growth in new builds and caravan sites. There was much to discuss!

The Society expresses our thanks to Megan O’Mara and Andrew Uttley for their talk which was held at St John's Burlington Church Rooms. Our usual talks venue, Bridlington North Library, is currently undergoing refurbishment and until further notice our talks will be held at St John's Burlington Church Rooms.
